Getting modding

These are the laser cut, stainless steel plates that have come back from the machine shop. The plates look nice, apart from some minor torch marks, but I'll fix that with some Autosol.

I wanted to check that the plates were going to fit over the case panels correctly - I seem to have got my measurements pretty accurate here.

The panels required some drilling and threading to allow the mounting to work properly - and I also needed to check the fitting of the laser cut fan grill. To mount to the side panel required the cutting away of the dodgy mesh grill on the original side panel.

With some more drilling and threading, the side panel is starting to come together, thanks to my trusty drill-bit attachment.

This is the laser-cut panel mounted to the side of the case, along with the fan grills. The end result will look better when the acrylic is in, but for now, this is a good result.
